The Salewa Nemesis Tirol Jacket is a lightweight and versatile insulated jacket that offers the perfect dose of warmth and looks good under another layer of outerwear or as a stand-alone outer jacket. The ripstop nylon outer fabric is waterproof and windproof, and the comfortable lining easily layers over a midlayer. All fabrics are bluesign approved for having minimal impact on people and the environment.
This model, designed with a compression capacity that provides warmth and protection during mountain activities at low temperatures, has a light 80 gram Tirol Wool Responsive filling. The wool in its composition, which is obtained from Tyrolean sheep that live in high mountain conditions, continues to work even when wet thanks to its high lanolin content. Tirol Wool was chosen by the guides of the Tyrol mountain team to make technical garments. When combined with Responsive, recycled polyester fibers loaded with thermoreactive minerals absorb natural infrared energy and return it to the body over time. This technology, which is exclusive to Salewa, works equally well with down and conventional synthetic filling.

- The bluesign certificate goes one step beyond being an eco-label. Due to the global approach of this industry standard, not only the safety of the end consumer has been taken into account, but also other aspects, including occupational health, emissions to water and emissions to air. Apart from these important aspects, the principle of resource conservation plays a major role within the bluesign certificate. The independent bluesign certificate guarantees that the entire production chain only contains components and only goes through processes that are harmless to people and the environment.
- Tirol Wool: Tirol Wool branded products now combine tried and tested natural sheep wool with the benefits of Celliant, the cutting-edge technology that increases performance.
- The Tyrolean mountain sheep has a narrow, woolly head and long ears that reach to the ends of its mouth. According to the sheep breeders' association website, which contains very interesting data, these sheep can weigh between 70 and 130 kg and are agile climbers thanks to their strong ankles and closed hooves with a firm grip; extremely useful characteristics for mountain sheep. In addition, they have a high breeding rate and produce a white, fine wool.
