The Grigri D014BA model is a belay device with assisted braking for all single rope diameters (from 8.5 to 11 mm) and intended for experienced belayers. It allows you to have exceptional control during the descent thanks to its ergonomic handle. When the climber falls, the device pivots on the carabiner, the rope is taut and the cam pinches the rope to brake it. The hand that holds the rope on the braking side engages the cam. It is therefore important to always keep one hand on the rope at all times.
