The Beal Air Force 3 belay and rappel device is designed to provide safety and efficiency in your climbing adventures. This device allows you to independently belay or lock off climbing partners and is compatible with both single ropes and two double or twin ropes. Its use is extremely simple and intuitive, with a small additional opening that facilitates unlocking the ropes even under tension. The V-shaped braking grooves, equipped with asymmetrical side notches, allow for controlled descent and braking maneuvers, optimizing energy absorption in the event of a lead climber fall. Additionally, the other wide and smooth grooves minimize passive friction on edges, reducing and eliminating rope wear during descents with double ropes or top rope. The Beal Air Force 3 offers adaptable braking force for diameters ranging from 7.3 mm to 10 mm.
